TAGS – UP A GUM TREE

I haven’t the foggiest idea what I am supposed to do to edit tags. I do not understand it. I tried doing one, a specific post with a media name, and I was told four posts had been altered with the new tags. FOUR??????

IT MAKES NO SENSE … DO I LEAVE THINGS UP A GUM TREE, OR SHOULD I BE ABLE TO SORT IT? IF SO, HOW?

  1. I don’t know much about the tagging fiasco but I simply replaced my deleted tags with five associated words instead of the larger amount that was there before.

Before you changed the tags did you have four posts with the same tags?

  2. I still don’t understand this tags association arrangement, Isadora.

My posts, like yours, are usually very different animals. The one post I looked at, was a re-acquaintance with some issue long forgotten, but was associated with a particular name. So, no, very unlikely there would be four posts with the same subject content. There might have been some repeats of conjunctions e.g. ‘and’. Otherwise, there could have been re-use of some descriptors.

Very few of my blogs were labelled with headings, within the tags, such as ‘cold’,’weather’, ‘leisure’; the reason being, that if posts do get into the wider domains of the net, some description other than a heading becomes very desirable. I don’t tend to have lots of verbiage for tags, either.

Then there is something about a digit limitation for words used. Why doesn’t blog just revert to a twittering site if it want to limit the ability to use proper vocabulary.

Unless I can get some real understanding of what this tag nonsense is about, I shan’t be supporting it.
