EYES AGOG AND EARS RIGID

Broadcasting bods get away with so many gaffs that I despair. I sit, either ears rigid, or eyes agog and ears twitching, in sheer disbelief at what I have heard at times. It is really comforting to be in company with someone else who can confirm I’ve seen and heard the ridiculous nonsense that can gush forth.

Some recent examples;

“The outcome of tonight’s meeting is yesterday”;

“There are two teams playing, by this evening, there will be a winner. Without a doubt, there will be a winner”.

(For all we know, there could have been a tie).
